Résumé
The simple, beautiful and touching story of Ariane, a painter who shows us the workshop where Blanche, her seamstress grandmother, works. During the visit, Ariane explains the genius of the grandmothers who crafted masterpieces with mere string… Aware of that heritage, Ariane understands that everything starts from nothing… By visiting the workshop, the audience takes a theatrical path through the meeting of visual art and generations.

- Décor: Ariane's Studio
The spectators arrive in a painter's studio. A canvas hangs on the wall. There is a table and a chair, some paint brushes, photographs and drawings pinned to the wall. A bouquet of flowers.
Then, Ariane arrives, surprised to find other people in her studio.
Blanche's workshop
ARIANE
We've arrived. You see, I have the key. Just a minute, I'll turn on the lights. (She whispers.) Follow me. Softly.
We enter Blanche's workshop quietly, as if entering a sacred space. White slippers are hanging on a line along the wall.

« ARIANE : If I could mend the world, I'd begin by mending my grandmother. […] (Blanche appears behind the armchair and caresses Ariane's cheek with her gloved hand, then covers her with the quilt.) I would use my needles to mend people, and animals and the land. […] There are holes everywhere: black holes, holes in the head, gaping holes left by war. »
