Soap [2002]
Original
Résumé The play is a sometimes surreal, often darkly comic look at our obsession with media, celebrity and identity as seen through the eyes of a company of young dysfunctional dancers whose only common interest is a quasi-religious devotion to the soap opera Public Pool. Are "soaps" the new opiate of the people? Extrait « HUGH : I watch Public Pool as well. / ELLA : Really? / HUGH : I confess: I can no longer imagine life without Public Pool. / LINDA : Me too./ ELLA : You too? / LINDA : Yes.
