Desert Dream [2005]
Original
Résumé Road-movie style, this play is a voyage through the Hopi universe, its mythology and rituals. Two brothers, despite their differences, love each other for who they are, not what they do. The older, J-F. has disapeared ten years ago. During all those years he sent tape to his younger brother Dave. Through his own works of art, Dave tries to understand his older brother and his deep depression. In an atmosphere of live commentary where past and present merge, and through performance incorporating music and video, the characters celebrate his gone brother with friends. Extrait « SOYAL : No. My mother called me Mary and Eve, wich I always hated. To me, Mary & Eve for a girl, is like Jesus Christ for a guy. That's about all there is two women in the Bible. Mary & Eve. The holy virgin and the horny little number who got us all into this mess. Nice karma thank you very much. » À propos de(s) l'auteur(s)
