Résumé
It's the day of the grand opening! First thing this morning, Jane officially took over as owner of the old bookshop on the corner. Everything is going smoothly until she receives a visit from the charming Samuel, who has just opened a chocolate boutique next door. Jane suddenly finds herself tongue-tied with shyness. Since troubles always seem to come in bunches, who should appear in the bookshop in the middle of the night but a charming old gentleman looking for a book he misplaced… more than 70 years ago?

Jane closes the book. She turns. We see a sweet little house folded in on itself. Suddenly, seemingly by magic, the set opens out like a book. We are in an old bookshop. Wood everywhere. Books everywhere, in every nook and cranny. Old books, new books, big ones, small ones, leather ones, paperbacks.
A place out of time with a whiff of eternity about it.
Day 1
Outside the bookshop, Jane is setting up a very large sign that says “Grand Opening”.
She stands in front of the shop and looks up and down the street. All the passersby walk more quickly as the go by the bookshop.
