Résumé This is a moving tale about the unlikely friendship between two outcasts. Troller, a giant with the soul of a poet, is miserable because of his size and his enormous strength. No matter what he dœs, men fear him. Alfredo is a scruffy, misanthropic, old rat who has no illusions about mankind. The two
meet on the outskirts of the city. Troller is impressed by the respect Alfredo inspires in men. When he realizes how sick the rat is, he decides to help him get better. In so doing, he wreaks havoc and terror in the city.
