Bathtime [1998]
Original
Résumé It's bath time and Mrs. Firebell tells her precious little piglet about her day's work. She began by saving three little pigs. Then she put out two forest fires, doused a dragon, and drove around in her fire
engine. Now she is burning with the desire to relax in her bubblebath. But beware, firefighting is dangerous business, and in the heat of the action, daydreams are often mistaken for reality. Extrait « LITTLE PIG: Bell-Belllll… / FIREBELL: Wha…aat? / LITTLE PIG: The little pig you saved today… / FIREBELL: Mmmmmm? / LITTLE PIG: You don't love him as much as me, do you? / FIREBELL: Of course not, how could I?! / LITTLE PIG: I'm the one you love most, most, most, eh? / FIREBELL: Of all the little pigs in the world, you're the one I love most, most, most, my precious little porcelain piglet whose tummy I'm going to gobble right up. (She kisses him and puts him to bed.) / LITTLE PIG: What's a precious little porcelain piglet? / FIREBELL: That would be you. / LITTLE PIG: What's me? / FIREBELL: Good night. » Revue de presse "Bathtime. A familiar scene straight from daily family life becomes irresistible. Jasmine Dubé clearly knows and loves children. This is obvious in the subtle, intelligent way she portrays their joys and their fears, both big and small." Sonia Sarfati, La Presse, February 22, 1997. |
