Résumé
Over the course of two hours, a scene is played out in an industrialist's office which will determine the fate of his company's growth. The Industrialist wants to expand his factory and maximise production and create 300 much-needed jobs, so he attempts to buy his neighbour and employee Kalr's land. But Kalr isn't easily convinced and the ensuing negotiations turn sour, potentially destroying the Industrialist's family unit.

- Décor: The Industrialist's office : where most of the action occurs. Stage right, are three cubicles made up of separators. Charotte, Madame and the Industrialist hide in these cubicles when theyare not directly involved in the action. In the centre are the Indutrialist' desk and chair. Behind the desk is a glass wall, through which we see the production shop, Hans'lair. Harotte's pedestal is in front of the window.
The action of this play compressed bu time. The hours stated in the text must be announced during the performance.

- Caractéristiques des personnages: THE INDUSTRIALIST : A charming and self-assured monster.
MADAME : The Industrialist'wife. She has two forms of speech. One is official; the other is subterranean, made up of little wors that slip out here and there, and is unnoticed by other characters. It isn't madness; it is repressed desire, the desire to live.
CHAROTTE : The couple's child. A child-star, but sugarless. Spare her from having to speak in a little girl's voice.
HANS : The couple's worker. For him, talking is a secondary form of expression.
KALR : The owner of the land.
