Burt [1989]
Original
Résumé An 8 year old boy is committed to a psychiatric institution for transgressing the social code. In the
overwhelming solitude of his daily life, and in a last-ditch effort to understand how his love for
Jessica could have led him to this home for problem children, he transposes the past onto the present,
and the present onto the past. Extrait « DOCTOR NEVELE : I know these methods of yours are highly thought of in your department, but I am the doctor responsible for the treatment of Burton Rembrandt and I do not want you interfering. / RUDYARD : I like Burton a lot. I enjoy his company. / DOCTOR NEVELE : I will not allow the presence of another therapist in any role, friend of otherwise. This child is showing serious behavioural problems. / RUDYARD : Burton Rembrandt's case is misplaced in this institution. It has nothing to do with the kind of treatment we offer here. » Revue de presse "Burt is a masterpiece...This play will completely transform your way of reaching out to children around you."
