You are invited to a big party. A party where we talk about everything, in all tones and without complacency: love, friendship, the #MeToo movement, the relationship to others, to language, to place, to Acadian culture, to Indigenous peoples… Here, situations and remarks that are sometimes innocuous, or cruel, or comical, encroach on each other, overlapping. And at the heart of the party, Moncton in all its states. In short, incisive fragments, Overlap examines the place of the individual in a city where it can be difficult to escape others – and oneself.
