Fifteen-year old Élodie is like a lot of people her age: sometimes, her parents get majorly on her nerves… Her mother, queen of perpetual good moods and Christmas carols, is an Acadian from Nova Scotia. Her father, champion of one-liners and lover of actual paper newspapers, is an Anglophone from Manitoba. To reconcile the two cultures, Élodie is a bilingual teen in Moncton, New Brunswick. But tonight at dinner, something is off… Instead of a meal prepared with love, her parents have a piece of upsetting news to share.
