Maurice Dancause woke up one morning and collapsed, struck down by a stroke. After several days in a coma and four years of rehab, he still struggles to find his words. But thirty years later, he declares that he feels happier and freer now than he ever has. Fascinated by this story of resilience and recovery, playwright Anne-Marie Olivier slips into Maurice's skin and invites the reader to join her in telling his story. The play is based on interviews with Maurice Dancause.
